In 2012, we are celebrating the Golden Jubilee anniversary of GILLBT, which was established in 1962.

To commemorate the hard work, dedication and accomplishments of the past, and how we define the way forward, we have organised a series of events:

Organised with the University for Development Studies and their annual Harmattan School, this conference addressed the question of meeting the Millennium Development Goals for education, including the crucial role of language.

 

Launch of 50th Anniversary celebrations

The Regional Minister for the Northern Region, the Honorable Moses Magbenba, launched the celebrations in a festive ceremony that included traditional dancers; congratulations from Mundara Muturi, Africa Director for Wycliffe Global Alliance; and a word from Mary Steele who has served the peoples of Ghana through GILLBT for many years.
